WHAT'S ALL THE BUZZ?

Certified TN Master Beekeeper, Derek Hunley, is a Mt. Juliet, TN native. His passion for sustainable beekeeping began early in his youth and was fueled by his grandfather, a long-time beekeeper in Overton County, TN.

What began as a small operation in his own backyard soon turned into a successful small business with multiple bee yards within the local community. With the support of his wife, Jennifer, and their three children, Hive 5 Apiaries continues to experience steady growth.

Derek's mission has never been to be the biggest, but to provide the best in local honey, honey-based products and hive management services. Hive 5 Apiaries' focus will always be to educate members of the community on the importance of honeybees and their impact on our ecosystem, with a goal of improving the honeybee population within the communities we serve.
